Jaraty ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children and students. Every Jaraty tool is designed with privacy as a core principle: no student accounts, no tracking, no advertising, and no sale of data. This policy applies to all Jaraty tools, including both web-based tools hosted at jaraty.com and Chrome browser extensions distributed by Jaraty.
This Privacy Policy covers all tools published under the Jaraty name, including:
If we release additional tools in the future, they will be governed by this same policy unless stated otherwise.
Across all Jaraty tools, we do not collect:
Some web-based tools temporarily process user-provided content to deliver functionality. For example, text entered into a word cloud, poll response, or chat message is transmitted in real-time to display results. This data is:
Our Chrome extensions (You Shall Not Pass and TeacherMagic) operate entirely on the user's local device.
Chrome extensions may request permissions (such as storage, activeTab, or sidePanel) that are required for the extension to function. These permissions are used solely to provide the stated functionality and never to collect or transmit user data.
The Jaraty website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect basic server access logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) as part of standard web hosting. These logs are controlled by the hosting provider's own privacy policy, are not accessed or used by Jaraty for tracking purposes, and do not contain user-submitted content.
Jaraty does not use any additional analytics services, tracking pixels, or marketing tools.
Jaraty does not integrate with third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, data brokers, or behavioral analytics platforms. No user data is sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to any third party for any purpose.
Because Jaraty does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain or delete. Session-based data in web tools (such as poll responses, word cloud entries, or chat messages) is ephemeral and cleared when the session ends. Chrome extensions store data only on the local device and retain nothing remotely.
Jaraty tools are designed for use in K-12 educational settings, including by children under 13. We comply with COPPA by not collecting personal information from children. No Jaraty tool requires an account, login, or any form of personal information to use. See our COPPA Compliance page for details.
Because Jaraty does not collect, store, or maintain student education records, FERPA obligations related to the disclosure of education records do not apply. Jaraty tools can be used in school settings without a data-sharing agreement because there is no data to share. See our FERPA Compliance page for details.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of any Jaraty tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
